The JESUS Video Project
- what is it?

It is part of a vision to give everyone in this country the chance to see or hear the story of Jesus.

The JESUS Video Project is a very effective and manageable strategy for offering the story of Jesus to every home, with an opportunity for face-to-face contact with a member of the Church.

The project involves churches personally offering a DVD about Jesus free to homes in their area in a systematic way and following up on the interest generated.

An attractive offer

If used like this, DVD's can be bought at a subsidised price, making it possible to give them away.

Experience shows that an average of one in five homes will take a DVD and agree to someone coming back to ask them what they thought of it.

"While many are benefiting from Alpha all over the country, I am always encouraging churches to be creative and reach beyond their fringe for participants. The Jesus Video Project is an excellent way of doing this. I especially like the 'free offer' and the freedom to say 'yes or no' at each stage; this process stirs up people's interest to consider the claims of Christ, which the Alpha course continues. I encourage churches to widen their horizons and try something that will definitely complement their course."
Rev. Alex Welby Alpha Regional Adviser for Devon

"We have used the JVP in areas where we have had no contact with people at all and found people for our enquirers' course." Philip Collard Kirkby, Liverpool
